General Terms and Conditions
These general terms and conditions govern the rental of one or more photo booths/video booths and are entered into between the renter as defined in the rental agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Renter”) and Snap&Shot Photobooth, Rue Pierre de Savoie 9, CH-1680 Romont (hereinafter referred to as the “Lessor”). By signing the rental agreement, the Renter unreservedly accepts these general terms and conditions.

1. Subject of the Rental
The Lessor makes available to the Renter one or more photo booths/video booths for the agreed period in connection with a specific event (wedding, birthday, corporate party, etc.). The rented equipment includes, depending on the provisions of the agreement, the photo booths/video booths, cameras, tablets, mobile phones, printers and stands, backdrops, wifi units, smoke and bubble machines, and associated accessories, unless otherwise stated in the agreement (hereinafter referred to as the “Equipment”).
2. Rental Period
The rental period is specified in the agreement. Any extension must be agreed upon by both parties and will give rise to an additional charge. In the event of late return (without valid justification), a penalty of CHF 100.- per commenced day of delay will be charged.
3. Reservation
To reserve one or more photo booths/video booths, the Renter must pay the full rental amount upon reservation within 5 days following signature of the agreement. The reservation shall only be deemed confirmed once payment has been received. This clause applies by default unless otherwise stated in the quotation or the agreement.
4. Rates and Payments
The rental rate is specified in the agreement. Payments are accepted by bank transfer, Twint, or any other method of payment approved by the Lessor. Any bank charges shall be borne by the Renter.
5. Cancellation and Modification
5.1 Cancellation by the Renter
Compensation fees shall be charged according to the following schedule:
- After reservation: 25%
- Less than 4 weeks before the event: 50%
- Less than 2 weeks before the event: 75%
- Less than 1 week before the event: 100%
The Lessor shall reimburse, within 10 business days, the total amount received less the applicable fees. If the amount received is insufficient to cover such fees, the Renter undertakes to pay the outstanding balance within 10 business days.
5.2 Cancellation by the Lessor
The Lessor may not cancel a reservation except in the event of force majeure (see point 12).
5.3 Modification of Reservation
Any modification (date, venue, options) is subject to the Lessor’s approval and may give rise to additional charges.
6. Delivery and Installation
6.1 By the Renter
- Collection: at the Lessor’s address specified in the agreement, at the agreed time.
- Security deposit: a deposit of CHF 300.- is required upon collection of the Equipment.
- Instructions: Upon collection of the Equipment, the Lessor shall provide the Renter with a set of detailed instructions regarding installation and use. The Renter undertakes to follow such instructions strictly in order to ensure the proper functioning of the Equipment.
- Installation: The Equipment shall be installed by the Renter or by a technician appointed by the Renter. The Renter undertakes to provide a suitable area for installation of the Equipment, with safe and easy access. The area must be equipped with a power outlet (230V/50Hz).
6.2 By the Lessor
- Delivery/Installation: carried out at the agreed time and at the event address.
- Space: the Renter shall provide a suitable, secure, dry and accessible location with a 230V/50Hz power outlet.
- Instructions: provided on site by the Lessor to the Renter or to a technician appointed by the Renter.
7. Use of the Equipment
- Temperature: It is recommended that the Equipment be used within a temperature range between 10 °C and 40 °C. Any use outside this range may result in damage to the Equipment.
- Outdoor use: The Equipment must not be exposed to rain, excessive humidity, or extreme weather conditions. It must also be protected from direct sunlight in order to avoid any risk of overheating or damage to electronic components.
- Liability: The customer is liable for any damage to, loss of, or theft of the Equipment, as well as for its use in accordance with the instructions provided. The customer is also responsible for protecting the Equipment, including moving it to a covered area if necessary. Any damage to or loss of the Equipment occurring during the event shall be charged to the customer at actual cost.
8. Technical Assistance
Telephone assistance is available throughout the duration of the event. In the event of a problem not attributable to the customer, the Lessor shall bear the cost of the intervention. Otherwise (handling error, improper installation), travel and intervention costs may be charged.
9. Dismantling and Return of the Equipment
9.1 By the Customer
- Dismantling: to be carried out immediately after the event.
- Return: on the first business day following the event before 12:00 noon, to the depot address.
- Condition: in good condition, clean, and complete.
- Security deposit: refunded after inspection. Replacement/repair costs shall be deducted where applicable.
9.2 By the Lessor
- Dismantling and return: to be carried out at the agreed time. The Equipment must be made accessible.
Note: No refund shall be provided for unused consumables (paper, ink).
10. Liability in the Event of Injury or Damage to Third Parties
The Lessor declines all liability for any injury or damage occurring during use of the Equipment. The customer must ensure the safety of the installation and of the participants, and comply with the instructions provided.
11. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Unless the customer objects in writing at the time of signing the agreement, the customer authorises the use, for promotional purposes, of images generated by the photo booth/video booth, in compliance with the applicable Swiss legislation relating to image rights and privacy. The customer is responsible for informing guests of the taking of photographs/videos and for obtaining their consent, in accordance with Swiss data protection legislation. The Lessor shall not be held liable for any unauthorised use of an image without the consent of the persons photographed.
12. Force Majeure
In the event of force majeure (strike, accident, extreme weather conditions, etc.), the Lessor shall not be held liable for any cancellation or delay.
13. Disputes, Applicable Law
The place of jurisdiction is CH-1680 Romont. The agreement shall be governed by Swiss law (Code of Obligations). Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts.
